After participating in the Netflix roast of former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, everybody was talking about comedian Nikki Glaser, even though she has been in the comedy business for almost 20 years.

She stole the show that night (last May at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles) as she was hailed as “the best roaster on the planet” according to Indiewire.

And now, Glaser will be adding dates to her already-successful North American “Alive and Unwell” tour through June 2025. Several of those dates will be in New England.

“Glaser has captivated audiences with her trademark honest and unapologetic humor and now more fans can enjoy more nights filled with laughter,” a release on the tour stated.

It added, “Glaser dives into a wide range of topics, including why she doesn’t want kids, the harsh realities of aging, her sexual fantasies, and plans for her own death – all in her hilarious, unapologetic, and brutally honest style.”

What are some highlights of Glaser’s career?

Along with Brady’s roast, Glaser also took part in past roasts of actors Alec Baldwin, Bruce Willis and Rob Lowe.

Glaser premiered her highly anticipated second HBO comedy special, “Someday You’ll Die” last May 11. She received her first Emmy Award nomination for that. The special “set the record for both the best premiere night for an HBO comedy special in more than two years and for the (number-one) largest streaming audience for a comedy special in HBO Max/Max history,” according to a release.

Previous to that special, Glaser also was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for her HBO standup special, “Good Clean Filth.”

In March 2021, Glaser launched “The Nikki Glaser Podcast” for iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network, which continues to this day.

Glaser now hosts, and executive produces “Lovers and Liars” (formerly “FGIRL Island”), which premiered on the CW last April.

Glaser starred in, and executive produced the E! half-hour reality sitcom “Welcome Home Nikki Glaser?” In the show, Glaser “returns to her hometown of St. Louis where she embarks on a hilarious and often uncomfortable journey of self-discovery,” according to a release.

Glaser hosted, co-created and executive produced the critically-acclaimed “Not Safe With Nikki Glaser” for Comedy Central.

Glaser had a role in the movie, “Trainwreck,” which starred comedians Amy Schumer and Bill Hader.
