East Tennessee native and music superstar Morgan Wallen’s day of support for his home area after Hurricane Helene has yielded impressive benefits.

Via a “HELP” campaign partnership between his foundation and Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, an Oct. 9 food drive in East Tennessee filled six trucks with nearly 150,000 pounds of food donated for Helene-impacted residents.

Morgan Wallen’s Foundation and Second Harvest of East Tennessee’s Senior Manager of Engagement and Marketing, Michael Torano, confirmed the totals.

Wallen himself was joined by comedian Theo Von in Knoxville at the food drive as well as in touring areas recovering from last week’s tragic hurricane.

As well, at Nashville and Smyrna, Tennessee’s Second Harvest locations, members of The Neal Agency, Wallen’s booking agency, and Sticks Management, his management company, joined volunteers in packing 1,092 disaster relief kits filled with food for six meals and a can opener. That total equaled 6,552 meals and 16,380 pounds of food deployed from Middle Tennessee to Helene-affected areas.

In addition, the MWF Virtual Food Drive has already led to the contribution of over 100,000 meals, and fans can still donate at https://bit.ly/HELPAfterHelene

Limited-edition “HELP” t-shirts, inspired by Wallen’s Billboard Hot 100 hit with Post Malone “I Had Some Help,” are still available at Shop.MorganWallen.com. 100% of the artist’s proceeds will go to the Morgan Wallen Foundation to support Second Harvest of East Tennessee and MANNA FoodBank of Western North Carolina.

Upon being made aware of how deeply his hometown area was ravaged last week, Wallen shared an Instagram story saying, “My family in East Tennessee are safe, but I know many are absolutely devastated there and in multiple states. All my prayers are geared towards those tonight.'”

Initially, Wallen assisted via a Sept. 30 donation of $500,000 to the American Red Cross to help East Tennessee from the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

“We can’t thank Morgan Wallen enough for his heart and generous $500,000 donation to impact help on the ground now in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene, including his beloved East Tennessee,” Trevor Riggin, Red Cross’ national president for humanitarian services, said in a statement shared with the USA Today Network’s Knox News.
