Fifty New York colleges and universities made it onto The Princeton Review’s Best 390 Colleges list for 2025 earlier this year.

The list is based on college students’ own rankings of the colleges they attend and names the top 25 schools in 50 different categories, including great financial aid, most politically active students and best campus food. Almost 170,000 surveys were collected in 2023-2024 and/or the previous two academic years, which include 89 questions about the school’s academics/administration, life at their college, their fellow students and themselves.
