Heroes, zeros and the inside pitch from the Yankees’ 11-4 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday night in The Bronx:

Hero

Staring at another night of potential missed opportunities, the Yankees finally got the huge hit they were looking for with Anthony Volpe’s grand slam in the third inning.

He also scored three runs.

Zero

Daniel Hudson gave up the grand slam to Volpe, as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts opted to stay away from most of his high-leverage arms in the bullpen game.

Unsung hero

Clay Holmes and Luke Weaver did the heavy lifting, but Tim Hill and Mark Leiter Jr. each got two big outs with the game in the balance, as they continued their solid postseasons.
