JACKSON, Tenn. — Miss Volunteer America returns to the Hub City.
The newly crowned Miss Volunteer America Berkley Bryant joined us Thursday to discuss upcoming pageants. Miss Teen Volunteer America will happen March 6-8 in Jackson. Shortly after, the Miss Volunteer America week comes up June 18-21 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. There’ll be a representative from every state at the competition.
Bryant is a national brand ambassador for Salvation Army and for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“Both of those causes are really special to me and, I think, really describe the role of Miss Volunteer America because you can do both, right? You can serve but you can also put on the glitz and glamour and I think that that’s the beautiful part about empowering young women to believe in themselves and believe in their dreams and understand that service really is the heart of this organization,” said Berkley Bryant, Miss Volunteer America.
Bryant has been crowned for about five months and has traveled over 26 thousand miles across the country to 12 different states.
