GREEN BAY – “Fox 11 Living” has a new host, and she knows her way around a Green Bay kitchen.
Executive chef Jyll Everman, a co-founder and co-owner of the Gather on Broadway events venue in Green Bay’s Broadway District, will succeed host Amy Hanten when she leaves next month after 33 years.
Everman will take over the long-running cooking and lifestyle show in 2025, according to a news release from WLUK-TV (Fox 11) on Monday. A specific date for her debut was not announced.
“Fox 11 Living” airs at 10 a.m. weekdays.
Everman is a Green Bay native who has previously done guest cooking segments on the show. Her TV credits also extend to a national audience. She was a finalist on Season 7 of the Food Network’s “Food Network Star” in 2011 before being eliminated in the eighth week. In 2018, ahead of a Green Bay Packers-New England Patriots game, she represented Green Bay on NBC’s “Today” show and highlighted Wisconsin’s love of brats.
“When we started talking to Jyll about the opportunity, it was quickly clear that her love of food and all things local was infectious,” said Jay Zollar, president and general manager of WLUK and WCWF-TV (CW14) in a news release. “She brings her own style and unique cooking skills to Fox 11 that our audiences will embrace.
“In addition, we are expanding the role of ‘Fox 11 Living’ executive producer, Abby Destree, increasing her involvement on the show, as well as hyper-focusing on ‘Fox 11 Living’s’ social and digital presence.”

Everman said in the release she looks forward to sharing her “no-nonsense recipes, tips and tricks” with viewers. “My goal is to make everyone’s day as delicious as possible, whether I’m cooking it myself or teaching you how to do it in your own kitchen.”
Everman, who earned her culinary degrees from the Epicurean Culinary Arts Academy in Los Angeles, will combine her passion for farm-to-table cooking with news about shopping locally and highlighting community connection.
Away from work, she is busy with her two boys, Jack, 11, and Luke, 9, husband Tommy and their Bernese mountain puppy.
After 33 years on WLUK mornings, Hanten announced in August she was leaving the station to spend more time with family across the country and world. She called it one of the toughest decision she has ever made.
Her final show is Dec. 20.
