Hamill recently took to the social media platform Bluesky, where he seemingly compared Donald Trump’s election to the attack on Pearl Harbor by referring to Election Day as “a Day That Will Live In Infamy.”

The “Star Wars” icon’s comment echoed President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s infamous words about the 1941 Japanese attack that led the U.S. into World War II.

Although Hamill’s post went largely unchallenged on Bluesky, which many liberals now use, it sparked criticism on X (formerly Twitter).

Some users questioned his stance, with one accusing him of letting “darkness consume his soul” and another claiming he “isn’t a fan of democracy.”

“At last, he found a place where he can push his nonsense with no pushback,” a third noted, per the Daily Mail.

“So long, little Skywalker, you were an atrocious actor, and as it turns out, not smart,” another person commented.

Hamill has been a vocal critic of former President Trump and the Republican Party while strongly backing Vice President Kamala Harris during the presidential race.

The Actor Previously Came Under Fire For Mocking Donald Trump After An Assassination Attempt

Hamill has regularly faced criticism for his comments about Trump, including mocking Trump’s appearance at the Republican National Convention after an assassination attempt over the summer.

At the time, the actor joked, “1st APPEARANCE of ludicrously oversized ear bandage, apparently not needed prior to tonight [ear emoji and rolling on the floor laughing emoji].”

Hamill’s comments sparked outrage among Trump supporters, who flooded the actor with criticism.

One person wrote, “You will never have the strength this man has. You jealous little clown. You are nothing.”

“You ever get shot, Mark? Shut the f-ck up,” Another lashed out.

Others called for more respect, with one user remarking, “Dedicate your entire account to your hatred for Trump all you like, Mr. Skywalker. But you must have realized that the attempted Trump assassination you mock has taken the innocent life of Corey Comperatore. Have some respect, you greasy f-ck.”
