Ever since she was a little girl, Valerie Pruitt has been serving her community. From helping at her parents’ grocery store when she was a child to dipping her feet into broadcast journalism, Pruitt has always felt the call to serve.

“I think it’s just what we’re supposed to do as people, to give back and help those that are less fortunate than we are,” Pruitt says. “And even if they’re not, just being that role model for people.”

Over the years, Pruitt has become a part of numerous organizations across Arkansas. One of her strongest passions has become serving and mentoring youths and families, and L’Elite gives her the opportunity to do just that.

L’Elite is a women’s social service club founded in 1980 that focuses on the advancement of youths and young women.
