Tennessee’s 2024 presidential electors on Tuesday officially cast the Volunteer State’s 11 electoral votes for President-elect Donald Trump.

Tennessee’s electors, which consist of one per congressional district and two at-large positions, gathered in the Tennessee House chamber at the state Capitol on Tuesday with Gov. Bill Lee, Secretary of State Tre Hargett and other state leaders to formally cast Tennessee’s electoral ballots.

Tennessee’s electors signed the certificate of vote, Tennessee’s historical document certifying presidential election results that will be submitted to the U.S. Congress.

Tennessee is a “winner-take-all” state, meaning electors are bound by law to cast their vote for the presidential candidate who wins the popular vote in the state.

A record 3.08 million Tennessee voters cast a ballot in this year’s presidential election. Trump and his Republican vice presidential candidate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, received 1,966,865 votes. Vice President Kamala Harris and her Democratic running mate, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, received 1,056,265.
