It’s a tale of the tape.

Chloe Waters, a Canadian influencer, has gone viral after sharing her secret to looking “Photoshopped” — allowing her to reel in countless unsuspecting suitors.

Known for sharing a variety of beauty tips and tricks, Waters often gets attention for the shocking difference between her “before” and “after” looks — and says she doesn’t mind being called a catfish.

“I am known as one of the biggest catfishes on the internet,” Waters boasted.

In a recent viral video that racked up 6.6 million views, Waters showed off the transparent face tape that’s responsible for her flawless transformation.

“I like to use face tapes and makeup to alter my appearance, to look a little bit more youthful,” she said.

When strategically placed, the tape lifts her cheeks and smooths out wrinkles, giving her a more youthful and sculpted appearance.

“It’s almost like Photoshop in real life,” she explained, showing her followers how it’s done.

Face taping involves pulling the skin on the cheeks and applying multiple pieces of tape.

After all that, Waters places one piece of string behind her head to secure the lift.

She also uses a smaller piece of tape on her jawline to enhance her facial contour. The result is a lifted, wrinkle-free look.

The clever Canuck then hides the tape with her hair and finishes off her routine with makeup.

The influencer also showed off how she makes her lips appear more plump, using her tongue to push out her bottom lip for a fuller pout.

“This is how I catfish!” she said at the end of the video.

Though some viewers were skeptical, questioning whether the tapes might stretch the skin over time, many were impressed by her transformation.

Waters isn’t the only one to have discovered the secret of face-taping, a beauty hack that’s being touted by many influencers as a cheap alternative to Botox.

If you scroll on TikTok, hashtag #facetaping has millions of views, with many people posting videos of themselves putting tape all over their faces before bed in order to stay looking young.

The hashtag isn’t a hoax.

According to Mississippi-based dermatologist Dr. Lindsey Zubritksy, also known on TikTok as the @dermguru, taping your face to prevent wrinkles can actually work — but only temporarily.

“Facial taping only works when the tape is in place,” Dr. Zubritsky previously told The Post. “Facial tape helps to hide wrinkles and pull and tighten the skin. It also helps to prevent movement of muscles that lead to wrinkles. However, it is not a long term solution and has no permanent benefits.”

“For example, if it’s worn during the nighttime when we are sleeping, it won’t help to reduce facial movements that lead to wrinkles.”

The Doctor clarified, however, that taping is not a substitute for Botox.

“Botox last anywhere between 3-6 months and paralyzes to the facial muscle the entire time before it wears off, thus preventing muscle movement which leads to fines lines and wrinkles (also known as dynamic rhytides),” Dr. Zubritksy explained.

Dermatologist Mamina Turegano, who runs her own practice in Louisiana, also seconded that facial taping can only temporarily reduce facial wrinkles.

She noted that taping could potentially be a “cheaper alternative” for those who can’t afford Botox and don’t mind it not having a permanent effect.

“However, I think that good skincare, including sunscreen and collagen building ingredients (like retinoids and antioxidants) will be better for the skin than taping it,” she previously told The Post.
