Mark your calendars for Sunday, Feb. 16: Another New Jersey chef is headed to the Food Network.

Chef David Viana of Lita and La Otra in Aberdeen, Heirloom Kitchen in Old Bridge and the forthcoming Judy’s in Asbury Park and Abramzon & David’s Delicatesse in Old Bridge, is competing for a spot on the sixth season of “Tournament of Champions.”

Qualifying rounds for the show, hosted by Guy Fieri, pits chefs against each other in a tournament-style bracket.

Viana, a former “Top Chef” contestant who earlier this month was nominated for a James Beard Foundation award, is among 16 hopeful chefs competing for eight spots in the bracket.

Twenty-four predetermined chefs round out the competition, including Chef Britt Rescigno, a former chef on Long Beach Island who competed in prior seasons. She made it to the finale last season, losing to celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan.

The show’s eight weeks of competition begins Sunday, March 2. The finale will air at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 20, with the winner receiving $150,000.
