Brittany Mahomes is in her feelings after the heartbreaking end to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2025 run.

Brittany re-shared a post that lauded husband Patrick Mahomes as “more than just a football player” after the Chiefs fell short of a historic Super Bowl three-peat in Sunday’s 40-22 loss to the Eagles.

She added that she was “crying” over the sentiment.

“Not only is Patrick a standout football player, changing the game with his talent and integrity both on and off the field, but he’s also redefining what fatherhood looks like — even with a full plate,” wrote infant sleep coach Jenna Artis, who appears to know the Mahomes family personally.

“Britt and Patrick!!! You both have taught me so much. I never knew how much dads wanted to be included on bath time, waking up from naps, or that they cared to know every little detail (fits, naps, how they ate/poop etc) about their kids simply because they wanted to — even having the full days like you do. To so many, you’re the #1 football player, but to three little ones, you’re the #1 dad — and one of the most incredible fathers I’ve had the privilege of working with and for.”

Mahomes, 29, and the reigning champion Chiefs were crushed by the Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl 2023, with the star quarterback throwing two interceptions, including a crushing pick-six in the first half at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Although the offense started to find some rhythm in the second half, it was too little too late, with Philadelphia running away with the victory to capture its second Super Bowl win in franchise history.

“And Britt, you are the glue,” Artis continued. “The way you juggle it all with grace, little sleep, selflessness, and love is truly inspiring. You’re an amazing mom (like truly, inspired how you do it all). A wonderful human, and a friend anyone would be lucky to have.

“I just can’t say enough about the kind of people, parents, and role models you both are. This is just a little reminder to the world that kindness matters — and that Patrick is so much more than just a football player.”

Mahomes, who has made five Super Bowl appearances in his seven seasons as Kansas City’s starter, shouldered much of the blame in the blowout loss.

“This is a game that’s going to hurt for a while. I threw two interceptions in [the Eagles] end. I threw a pick-six and a pick at their 5-yard line, and they score immediately afterward,” Mahomes said postgame.

“When you give a team 14 points — especially a really good football team — not a lot of good things are going to happen. That’s why I take ownership over this loss. I put us in a bad spot.”

Mahomes was 21-for-32 for 257 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He was also sacked six times.

The quarterback was supported by Brittany, 29, on game day, with the high-school sweethearts spending time on the sideline before kickoff with two of their three children: daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2.

Mahomes and Brittany welcomed their third child, daughter Golden, in January.

The couple will celebrate their wedding anniversary in March.

Kansas City had won back-to-back Super Bowls entering Sunday. They defeated the Eagles two years ago, 38-35, and knocked off the 49ers in 2024, 25-22.
