Cardi B was not pleased that the Secret Service messed with her footwear at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9.
The “Up” songstress, 32, took to Instagram live after the game, and in a video that’s since circulated on X (formerly Twitter), she blamed the presence of President Donald Trump at the event for the damage.

In the video, the “WAP” performer was eating chips and salsa when she explained her irritation, saying that because Trump was at the Super Bowl — he was the first sitting president to attend the game — the Secret Service was “not playing in that motherf***er.”
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, explained that the security agency stopped “all the little carts” on which VIPs were transported into the New Orleans arena for the game. She proceeded to show viewers the bottoms of her spiky Louboutin pumps, which appeared to be scuffed and damaged. Cardi is known to be a fan of the brand, even mentioning them in the lyrics of her hit song, “Bodak Yellow.” (“These expensive, these is red bottoms / these is bloody shoes.”) “Shoe cost me three bands,” she continued, referring to the designer footwear’s $3,000 price tag.

As for Trump, Cardi said, “Now I like him lesser. Cuz you ain’t had to go up to no damn Super Bowl. F***ing up my shoe.” Cardi then revealed she had a deeper reason for disliking Trump, saying that if he wanted to repay her for the loss of the shoes, he would need to bring back her uncle, who “got deported.” The “I Like It” songstress endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
