LHN kicks off annual ‘Jars of Love’ peanut butter drive to benefit northeast Indiana food banks

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Lutheran Health Network (LHN) is now accepting peanut butter donations for its annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive, benefitting six northeast Indiana food banks.

Network leaders say peanut butter is a favored donation item due to its high nutritional value and long shelf life. However, leaders note that it is often one of the least donated items.

LHN officials emphasize that this annual drive has been a huge success in past years and is an excellent way to fight hunger in the community.

Leaders say the drive will continue through March 24, and donations will benefit Community Harvest Food Bank, Feeding Tomorrow’s Future Today, Wells County Food Bank, Combined Community Services, Miami County Helping Hands, and the Salvation Army

According to a release from LHN, collection bins for the peanut butter drive have been placed at all Lutheran Health Network hospitals, OPS – Optimum Performance Sports, select area YMCA Centers, and Elevatus Architecture. See a full list of bin locations below:
