Fans are constantly in awe over her weight loss success

To achieve her 46-pound weight loss, without Ozempic, Maneet, 48, has revealed that it all started with calorie counting.

“It started with logging my calories and doing simple math,” she revealed in a 2019 interview, with Maneet explaining how she was also conscious of what she was putting in her body, too.

She further added: “I couldn’t go on a restrictive diet like keto or paleo because I eat for a living.

“So I used the app MyFitnessPal [an online food diary],” she revealed to Parade in a previous chat.

Maneet went on: “I kept to 1,200 calories a day, which would pretty much start with me logging my two glasses of wine and two pieces of chocolate, so I knew what I had left.”

Another of her weight loss secrets is how much walking she aims for each and every day.

Aiming to get 10,000 steps every day, if she doesn’t hit her target, she will do other things to move her body.

KEEPING FIT

“It’s seeped into each and every facet of my life,” she said.

“If I’m at the airport and the lounge is over there, I’m like, ‘No, I haven’t done my steps.’

“So I walk from one end of the airport to the other with my suitcase.”

Maneet opened up about her weight loss last spring when a follower asked her how she shed the weight before she happily obliged.

“Ok at least 10,000 [steps] a day.

“Intermittent fasting nothing to eat till 12 and then 2 meals a day 4oz protein, 4 oz fruits and 4 oz vegetables.

“No fats, no carbs, no sugars,” the Food Network star explained.

What is the keto diet?

Originally developed in the 1920s to help patients suffering from epilepsy, keto is now primarily used as a weight loss tool (Getty images).

The diet involves eating lots of “good” fat to curb hunger, cutting out carbs, and eating moderate amounts of protein.

  • The diet relies on a normal metabolic process called ketosis
  • Can boost energy and speed up weight loss
  • Ketosis typically kicks in three to four days after an individual follows the diet plan and eats less than 50 grams of carbs per day
  • The body will begin to burn fat reserves when starved for cabs
  • When following the diet, fats should make up 60 to 80 percent of total daily calories, protein 10 to 15 percent, and carbs less than 10 percent
  • Daily calorie intake should capped at 1,800
