Danica Patrick, the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver, voted for the first time during the 2024 presidential election. She’s since become heavily involved in the political world, at least on social media.

The former racing star said she has been “red pilled.”

“It was only a little over a year ago that I went to my first ever political event, which was AmFest here in Phoenix, Charlie Kirk’s big event. I mean at that point in time, hopefully without people judging, I didn’t know who Charlie was. Like I had never paid attention to politics, and in fact, quite specifically avoided the news and had since like 2018. So after going to that event, I posted some photos of my sister and I, and it just said that ‘I love this country’ and it was a divisive comment to so many and grabbed a lot of attention, which was ridiculous,” she told former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines.

“And then I finally met Tucker Carlson when he was there because he was one of the speakers and I quickly went on his show. And came back and Charlie reached out and then I went on Charlie’s show and I was like, ‘well, I guess I am in politics now.'”

Patrick, who has jumped into the world of politics in her mid-40s, recently made her pick for the best U.S. President of all-time.

Unsurprisingly, she went with the only U.S. president she has ever voted for: Donald Trump.

“I remember the saying “peace in the Middle East” as a kid. It was a casual silly (and seemingly impossible) way of saying goodbye, at least in the Midwest where I grew up. Now….. it’s actually real. @realDonaldTrump will go down as the best president we have ever had. Peace through strength. ✌️,” she wrote.

Patrick is getting ripped for her pick

No matter where you stand politically, it’s a bit much to claim that you know who the best president in U.S. history is, when you refused to vote for much of your adult life.

“You’re a deluded right wing extremist,” one fan wrote.

“Best president ever, 🤣. The man doesn’t have peace in his own country. Peace in the Middle East is all about money for him,” one fan added.

“Trump doesn’t even have peace, in his own country here!! 😂,” one fan added.

“Jimmy Carter brokered peace in The Middle East and you don’t call him great,” one fan added.

“Oh look, another celeb that fell out the limelight. Sold their soul to maga to keep some form of relevance,” one fan added.
