A new book reveals the 2024 election betrayal that caused former President Barack Obama to tear into onetime House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The shocking story of Dems in disarray is contained in Jonathan Karl’s upcoming new book about the 2024 presidential election, “Retribution.”

The Daily Mail got an advance copy of the tome and reported on its contents, including the explosive Obama-Pelosi dustup.

Obama was reportedly furious that Pelosi jumped to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for the White House the day after President Joe Biden bowed out of the 2024 campaign.

Karl, of ABC News, writes that the former two-term Democratic president didn’t want to see a quick “coronation” of Harris but instead wanted a longer “process” that would include other Democratic candidates.

A red-hot Obama apparently wasted little time in calling Pelosi after her backing of Harris.

“The Obamas were not happy,” Karl wrote, based on information from a Pelosi intimate. “This person summed up Obama’s message to Pelosi as, essentially, ‘What the f—k did you just do?’”

But Pelosi held her ground, telling the former commander-in-chief, “That train has left the station.”

Obama was surprised by the rapid endorsement, Karl wrote, because he and Pelosi had been in “regular communication” as Biden weighed whether to remain in the race following his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump.

Karl wrote that the two Democratic heavyweights “agreed Harris should not simply be handed the nomination unchallenged.”

“Therefore, Obama and Pelosi – arguably the two most influential figures in the Democratic Party – had privately agreed to abstain from making any endorsements,” Karl wrote.

Karl wrote: “The former president wanted to know what had happened. Why had Pelosi issued a statement endorsing Harris so soon? Hadn’t he and Pelosi agreed days earlier that party leaders anointing the vice president as Biden’s replacement would be a mistake?”

Karl was told by a source close to Obama that the former commander-in-chief wasn’t angry at Pelosi and that the phone call was more along the lines of a “good-natured ribbing.”

But a Pelosi source said different, believing that Obama sounded “genuinely irritated” by Pelosi’s endorsement of Harris.

A top Biden adviser, who was also a veteran of the Obama White House, told Karl that the real reason Obama didn’t want Pelosi to endorse Harris so quickly was that Obama didn’t think the veep could win.

“There’s only one Black Jesus,” the senior Biden adviser joked.
