ASHEVILLE – The Michelin Guide has come to the American South, and more than a dozen Asheville restaurants have been recognized by the prestigious global company’s awards program.

The Michelin Guide, best known for its coveted Michelin Stars, presented its Bib Gourmand awards to three local establishments and recommended a dozen more to travelers looking for a delicious bite.

Luminosa received two Michelin awards: the Bib Gourmand and Green Star.

Bib Gourmand awards are given to restaurants that offer the best value for the money, translating into a three-course meal at a reasonable price, given the area’s cost of living.

Here are the newly appointed Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand eateries in Asheville, along with menu items to consider ordering when you visit.
