Snoop Dogg brought his own unique brand of holiday entertainment to the 2025 NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show on Netflix.

The rapper, 54, took the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis midway through the Thursday, December 25, game between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings, which streamed live globally on Netflix. Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party featured special guests Lainey Wilson and KPop Demon HuntersEjae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the singing voices behind the hit animated film’s girl group Huntr/x.

Snoop commanded the stage in a red suit with a matching, fur-trimmed coat as he performed his biggest hits on a stage.

“It’s Christmas, and we’re about to do some of my favorite Christmas songs,” he said, leading a choral performance of Sound of Music‘s “My Favorite Things” behind a trio of dancing ballerinas.

After the Sound of Music tribute, Wilson, 33, arrived mid-field in a white sleigh dressed in a winter-white jumpsuit with a cowboy hat. She belted a rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” while Snoop looked on with glee.

Andrea Bocelli and his son, fellow opera singer Matteo Bocelli, closed out the show with “White Christmas.”

“From my family to your family, Merry Christmas,” Snoop concluded the performance before his BFF Martha Stewart starred in a prerecorded message reminder viewers that “the second half” of the game was on the way.

Prior to his Christmas halftime show, Snoop told Tudum, “It’s gonna be a holiday to remember.”

“NFL, Netflix and your Uncle Snoop on Christmas Day?” he teased. “We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”

Netflix streamed two live NFL games on Thursday. First up was the Dallas Cowboys vs. the Washington Commanders at 1 p.m. ET from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, followed by the Lions vs. the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Earlier in the broadcast, Kelly Clarkson performed her holiday hit “Underneath the Tree” to kick off NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix.

This is the second year Netflix has hosted NFL Christmas Gameday. In 2024, the streaming platform aired two games, with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens beating the Houston Texans. Last year’s broadcasts are the most-streamed NFL games in U.S. history, with an average audience of more than 26.5 million viewers in the U.S. and more than 30 million viewers globally.

Beyoncé notably helmed the very first NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show in 2024. The singer, 44, performed songs from her Cowboy Carter album live for the first time in her hometown of Houston as she was joined by special guests Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Brittney Spencer and Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. The unforgettable show was nicknamed the Beyoncé Bowl.

After some viewers criticized Beyoncé’s performance, her mother, Tina Knowles, defended her.

“It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don’t think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later,” she wrote via Instagram in December 2024. “Obviously you are so obsessed with them, addicted to them and secretly admire them, wish you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke!! So go to another channel when it’s halftime watch goofy cartoons or Bozo the clown or something you can relate to and see yourself in. Said with love.”

Knowles, 71, went on to praise her daughter, adding, “I have learned so much from her warrior spirit, of when they go low I work harder ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper.’”
