The Post hands out its 2025 Pro Wrestling Awards:

Male Wrestler of the Year

“Hangman” Adam Page, AEW

When AEW needed its hero, Page absolutely delivered. The “Hangman” became the perfect foil for the Death Riders both on the mic and in the ring as he beautifully told the story of his two-year redemption arc all the way to his emotional victory for the AEW Men’s World championship in the main event ot All In. Page has matured as a talent and had one of the best in-ring years of his career, including his match against Moxley at All In, versus Will Ospreay in the final of the Owen Hart tournament and his title defense against Kyle Fletcher at All Out.

Honorable mention: John Cena (WWE), Bandido (ROH/AEW), Oba Femi (NXT), Mistico (MLW/CMLL), Jon Moxley (AEW), CM Punk (WWE), Mike Santana (TNA), Cody Rhodes (WWE), Seth Rollins (WWE).

Female Wrestler of the Year

Iyo Sky, WWE

Sky moved herself into the upper tier of the WWE’s women’s division with her best year in the company, shining when finally given the chance to do character work and having as good an in-ring 2025 as anyone in wrestling. Sky played the overlooked talent perfectly in her WrestleMania feud with Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley, before retaining the Women’s World Championship in one of the best matches of the year during a 132-day reign. The in-ring excellence continued with her triple-threat matches at SummerSlam and Evolution and singles matches with Roxanne Perez and Stephanie Vaquer. She ended the year strong by telling the story of the tension between her and the Kabuki Warriors.
