Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom aren’t letting their split affect coparenting 5-year-old daughter Daisy.
Perry, 41, and Bloom, 48, reunited on Monday, December 29, to bring Daisy and Bloom’s 14-year-old son, Flynn, to see Paddington: The Musical at the Savoy Theatre in London’s West End. (Bloom shares Flynn with ex Miranda Kerr.)
The foursome appeared in a series of photos posted by the official Paddington Instagram account, which captioned the crousel, “A rather splendid turn out if we do say so ourselves! .” The snaps featured Bloom and Perry separately taking pictures with various members of the cast as well as a group shot with the exes, Daisy and Flynn all together alongside the musical’s ensemble.
Perry and Bloom were matching for the event, keeping it casual with the singer sporting a tan sweatsuit and matching hat. Bloom opted for a camel-colored coat, which he wore with dark blue corduroys and sneakers. Flynn, meanwhile, opted for a grey sweatshirt and black jeans. Daisy looked adorable in pink pants and a long-sleeved white shirt. Her golden locks were pulled up in a ponytail as she nuzzled up to her dad and hugged her brother.
Us Weekly confirmed in June that Perry and Bloom called off their engagement after nearly 10 years of dating. The Lord of the Rings star previously proposed to the musician in 2019, one year before they welcomed Daisy.
“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source close to the pair exclusively told Us at the time. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Despite going their separate ways, the pair have been focused on putting their daughter first. Following their split, reps for the former couple shared in a statement that they had been “shifting their relationship over the past many months” to prioritize coparenting, adding, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Bloom broke his silence on the breakup two months later in a September appearance on the Today show, saying he was feeling “great” after calling it quits. “I’m so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter,” he said. “You know, when you leave everything on the field, like I did in [my movie The Cut], I feel grateful for all of it. We’re great [and] we’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love.”
Perry, for her part, has since moved on with former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. The twosome first sparked dating speculation in July when they were spotted on a walk in Montreal — a stop for the pop star on her Lifetimes Tour — before heading out for a cozy dinner later that evening.
Us confirmed the pair were officially an item four months later, with one insider sharing that Perry and Trudeau are “very interested” in each other but are opting to be “more private” about their blossoming romance.
Earlier this month, a source revealed to Us that the duo will be spending New Year’s Eve together, adding that the couple are “very smitten and into each other.” The insider said that Perry is “really inspired” by Trudeau, and is “impressed by his accomplishments.”
“He’s a great match for her,” the source added at the time.
