FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – At this time of year, most of the NFL is searching for one of two things and sometimes both. The teams who failed to qualify for the postseason are almost all thinking about how to improve at the two most important spots on the team — head coach and quarterback.

Locally, we have the Jets, who know they don’t have a quarterback and are wondering if Aaron Glenn is the right coach, and the Giants, who think they’ve found their quarterback in Jaxson Dart and are trying to find the coach to pair with him.

This is what makes the Chargers a confounding team. They seemingly have as good a coach/quarterback combination as you can find in the NFL.

All Jim Harbaugh has done is win at every stop along his coaching journey. His worst NFL season was 8-8 with the 49ers. He went to the Super Bowl in San Francisco and won a national championship in college at Michigan.
