This happens too often for it to be an outlier anymore. Whether or not you think the plus-minus statistic is as vital to basketball as it is to hockey, it’s inarguable that it is usually a fair snapshot of the impact a player has on a game.

And more often than not, when the Knicks have won a basketball game, the likelihood is that Mitchell Robinson will be on the plus side of that hyphen. Often by a lot.

The Knicks won a basketball game Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. They looked like they were playing underwater for three quarters and let the woeful Sacramento Kings (playing short-handed) hang around long enough for it to be 72-72. But they pulled away and won a game they were absolutely forbidden to lose 103-87. That’s three wins in a row.

Then you looked at the boxscore.
