The Real Housewives of New York City’s season 16 will surely have executive producer Andy Cohen’s blessing.

“I would like to tell you that I’m so excited about the cast of The Real Housewives of New York,” Andy, 57, said on the Wednesday, March 4, broadcast of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy. “We have been working on this for a while. … Everyone wants everything now, and that’s why everybody was asking about Miami, like, ‘When is it coming back? And why aren’t you shooting it and da da da da da,’ and it’s like, and even Jersey. You know, it’s like, we want to get it right.”

According to Andy, Bravo struck gold with its season 16 cast of RHONY.

“We almost did something with New York last year, and then we had a group convo and we were like, ‘You know what? We are not all there yet,’ and there were some people that are in the cast now that are still in the cast, new people, but then we found new new people.”

Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank and Sąi de Silva are returning for their third seasons of RHONY, where they will be joined by newcomers Hailey Glassman, Erika Hammond and Daisy Toye. Carole Radziwill is also set to appear on the new season in a “friend of” role.

“Erika, Daisy, and Hailey … are great for all different reasons,” he said. “There were a lot of people doing discourse about Radzi coming back. She’s coming back as a friend.”

According to Andy, Bravo wasn’t always planning to bring back Carole, 62. (Andy and Carole’s long-standing friendship hit a snag during the RHONY season 10 reunion, when she believed the Bravo exec sided with Bethenny Frankel over her. Carole subsequently left the show over alleged toxicity, which upset Andy.)

“I remember we were at BravoCon and Jeff Lewis is like, ‘Radzi’s definitely coming back. You wouldn’t be doing this,’” Andy said, referring to Carole’s appearance at the 2025 fan convention. “It was not the plan at that point. It really wasn’t.”

He continued, “I think I took her out for coffee … in December or January, and proposed that she be a friend. She was very Radzi about it. She was very analytical. You know, she’s gotten to be pals with Erin and Abe [Lichy], so they actually are legitimate friends, and she had all kinds of questions about what does that mean and all this, and she thought about it.”

After his meeting with Carole, Andy thought there was “a 50/50 chance” of the RHONY OG signing onto season 16.

“I was so glad she did,” he explained to SiriusXM cohost John Hill of Carole’s questions about agreeing to appear on the show. “I go, ‘Do your research, research everything.’ … [Research is] talking to producers, talking to people at Bravo. You know, really just figuring out, it’s been a while and I think she wants to be careful about what she does.”

Without giving away too many details about RHONY season 16, Andy is also crossing his fingers about another potential appearance.

“Daisy’s been Martha Stewart’s makeup artist for many years and Martha loves her,” the Housewives producer quipped. “And so, I’m hoping we see a little Martha. I’m really excited.”

A premiere date for RHONY season 16 has yet to be announced.
