Trump: US in ‘final stages’ of talks with Iran: ‘We’ll see what happens’

President Trump claimed Wednesday negotiations with Iran are in the “final stages” — and the US military will have to get “a little bit nasty” if no deal is reached.

“We’re in final stages of Iran,” he told reporters at Joint Base Andrews. “We’ll see what happens. Either [we] have a deal or we’re going to do some things that are a little bit nasty, but hopefully that won’t happen.”

Negotiations have stalled over the future of Iran’s nuclear program and reopening the critical Strait of Hormuz.
