Handing out the midseason hardware to MLB’s best — and worst

It’s time to hand out some midseason awards.

NL MVP

Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers. Who else? In the human division, Pete Crow-Armstrong is doing it all (but not pitching).

NL LVP (Least Valuable)

Kyle Tucker. The Mets may have dodged a $60M-a-year bullet.

AL MVP

Yordan Alvarez, Astros. His torrid hitting has kept the Astros in contention in a weak AL. Ben Rice and Nick Kurtz are prototype lefty sluggers having nice years.
