The Mets’ season is essentially over at the All-Star break following 3 ½ months of embarrassingly bad baseball.
Aside from a competent bullpen — at least in front of Devin Williams — it’s been a horror show, which led to Carlos Mendoza becoming the first manager fired in-season by the club since 2008.
Much change is forthcoming (David Peterson’s trade to the Cubs last month was just the first of many purges to expect by Aug. 3).
Now a look at the team’s mostly disappointing All-Star break grades.
