Grading the Giants’ 28-20 win over the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium on Monday:
Offense
Great balance — 230 passing yards, 165 rushing yards — and before the kneel-downs, they were 9-for-10 on third down. That is incredible. Jaxson Dart (23-for-29, 230 yards, 3 TDs) was sensational in his accuracy, decision-making and athleticism (he ran it 11 times for 54 yards). TE Isaiah Likely was targeted eight times and had eight receptions for 78 yards and 2 TDs. What a signing. Cam Skattebo (18-81, 1 TD) kept his legs churning. Yes, Malik Nabers did end up playing and he was a big factor (6-69). Tyrone Tracy Jr. cost his team points with a fumble deep in Dallas territory and that’s a big no-no. Running out the final 5:16 was impressive.

Defense
There was bending but no breaking — the longest plays on offense for the Cowboys went for 17 yards. Dak Prescott (22-for-34, 175 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) was held in check. A diving interception by S Jevón Holland was a huge momentum swing late in the first half. There were no sacks and there needs to be more heat moving forward. Deonte Banks and Greg Newsome II held up vs. George Pickens (3-28) and CeeDee Lamb (5-44). Dallas averaged only 3.8 yards per rush. Pass interference penalties by Newsome and Dru Phillips helped the Cowboys to their first TD. Phillips was called for a second and third DPI in the third quarter.
