The celebratory champagne has been sprayed.
Now all that’s left for Jacob Misiorowski’s Milwaukee Brewers and Yandy Díaz Tampa Bay Rays is the 2026 World Series.
Starting Friday, Oct. 23, the two elite clubs — both of whom have never won a Fall Classic in their respective histories — will meet in a cutthroat best-of-seven duel that will determine who gets to hoist the Commissioner’s Trophy high above their heads and who goes home with their heads hung low, still seeking a elusive first World Series win.
If you’d like to be there to witness the glory live, tickets are available for all seven potential showdowns at Milwaukee’s American Family Field and St. Petersburg’s Tropicana Field.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one Brewers home game was $2,163 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Prices start at $757 including fees in St. Petersburg.
Over the course of the ’26 regular season, the Brewers and Rays met three times in late March and early April.
Tampa took the first contest, winning 3-2 behind Díaz and Jonny DeLuca longballs and a sterling six-inning effort from starter Nick Martinez.
Milwaukee won the next two at home 6-2 and 8-2, respectively. Jake Bauers went yard in the first game; Brice Turang homered the following day. Star Brandon Woodruff started the March 31 game (months before going on the 60-day IL in July) and went five innings. Although unlikely, there’s a chance he may return and make a surprise appearance in relief for the Brewers in the Fall Classic.
Misiorowski held down the fort for six innings in the last of the three-game set, pitching six innings of two-run ball.
Coming into the World Series, Milwaukee (who haven’t played since they completed their NLCS sweep of the Dodgers on Oct. 15) is the betting favorite on Draftkings at -155.
Don’t count out the gritty Rays who just staved off the Guardians in six (thanks to key contributions from Díaz, slugger Junior Caminero and key midseason acquisition Freddy Peralta), though.
“[Kevin Cash’s club] need contributions from those who have been felled by big-time heaters to stand a chance against Milwaukee’s pitching staff” ESPN’s Jeff Passan writes.
We can’t wait to see which team gets to bust out the champagne next.
See you there, Brew Crew and Champa Bay faithful.
