Lamine Yamal never seems to be cold or sore on the soccer field.
The 19-year-old is a few months removed from winning the 2026 World Cup with Spain and is currently tearing up La Liga with FC Barcelona, tallying 10 goals and 7 assists in 11 league games.
Off the field, Yamal is still in a high-profile relationship with his model girlfriend, Spanish model Ines Garcia.
Garcia posted to her Instagram story on Saturday that provided an unfortunate health update.
The post showed Garcia wearing some sort of cream on her nose, around her nostrils, and was captioned (in translated Spanish), “It had been a long time since I’d had a herpes outbreak… Do you remember about a year ago??
“I was getting at least one a month… 😢 / Yesterday I woke up with one on my nose, and I’ve been looking like this 24 hours a day.”
Garcia received praise for her openness about her herpes diagnosis, as it can be a difficult and stigmatized subject to speak about, especially for someone with a huge following like Garcia.
Yamal helped FC Barcelona defeat Atlético Madrid in La Liga today, 2-1.
