AUSTIN (KXAN) — Former President Donald Trump is back in the White House after defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the Nov. 5, 2024, presidential election.
In Texas, Trump received almost 6.4 million votes — more than any other candidate in presidential election history. His vote total was just over 500,000 more than he received in 2020. Harris received a little more than 4.8 million votes, about 425,000 fewer than Joe Biden received in 2020.

KXAN previously collected and mapped precinct-level results in 222 of the Texas’ 254 counties. The state has now released results in the remaining 32 counties, giving us a full picture of how Texans voted statewide.

Of the 9,712 precincts across Texas, at least one vote was cast in 9,348 precincts.

Trump won the most votes in 5,619 precincts, while Harris won 3,703 precincts. A total of 26 precincts saw a tied result.
Trump’s strongest margins were primarily in rural parts of the state. He won at least 90% of the vote in 483 precincts, and at least 75% in a further 2,053 precincts.
Harris’ strongest margins were in larger cities, primarily Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. She won at least 90% of the vote in 80 precincts and at least 75% in a further 557 precincts.

Several precincts statewide were incredibly close. Trump earned a plurality of votes in 119 precincts, while Harris won a plurality in 143.
