The 2024 presidential election is occurring at a critical time. In New York, former President Trump has been convicted of 34 felony counts by a jury of his peers. These 34 felony counts are for hiding and lying about Trump’s extramarital affair with a porn star. The reason the behavior became felony counts is that hiding this affair was designed to prevent voters, in the 2016 presidential election, from knowing Donald Trump had a sexual affair with a porn star. Former President Trump effectively hid his immoral behavior from the voters and was successfully elected president of the United States.

It is important to remember this criminal case was presented to a jury of 12 people. Former President Trump was represented by two seasoned criminal defense attorneys. These attorneys had a chance in open court to question potential jury members, and fully approved the twelve people who were selected to be on the jury panel to hear the evidence in the case.

After several days of trial, the jury heard evidence from both the New York prosecutors and evidence presented by former President Trump’s attorneys. The jury of 12 people saw and evaluated the witnesses. They listened and heard the evidence and listened to closing arguments from both attorneys from the New York prosecutors and Trump’s seasoned criminal defense attorneys. This trial was in the New York State court system. From the New York State, grand jury to the trial jury finding Trump guilty of 34 felony counts, the United States Department of Justice was not involved.

This case is not based on the immoral conduct of former President Trump. The case is based on the consequences of hiding the confirmed fact that Trump had an extramarital affair and knew that if his immoral behavior came out prior to the 2016 presidential election, he would not have been elected president.

As a police officer for over 35 years, I trust America’s criminal justice system.
