The infamous Aaron Rodgers retreats have expanded.
The Steelers quarterback posted photos on Instagram with six teammates captioned “Last Rodeo. #bondingweek.”
The post, which featured Michael Pittman Jr., Ben Skowronek, Roman Wilston, Mason Rudolph, DK Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth, looked straight out of “Yellowstone.”
The Steelers were horseback riding, sitting around a fire, paddle boarding and dressing up as cowboys in a picturesque setting.
Rodgers, 42, has previously said this was his last season, hence the “Last Rodeo” caption as the former MVP set up a for a year-long farewell tour.
The quarterback’s teammates joked with Rodgers in the comments, with Pittman and Skowronek calling him “unc.”
After months of speculation, Rodgers decided to return to the Steelers on a one-year, $22.5 million contract.
The move reunited the former Packer and Jet with head coach Mike McCarthy, who worked with Rodgers for 13 years in Green Bay.
“I thought that was probably it for me in Pittsburgh,” Rodgers told ESPN. “But when the decision was made to hire Mike, I started opening my mind back up to coming back.”
The quarterback added that he suggested Steelers general manager Omar Khan consider McCarthy for the job, but didn’t know how serious he would be.
His familiarity with the assistants brought to Pittsburgh also played a role in his return, saying the first meeting “took [him] back to being a 22-year-old kid sitting in Green Bay.”
Rodgers is coming off a decent year in 2025 where he threw for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions with the team winning the NFC North and losing to the Texans in the wild-card round.
It was not the form he had when he won MVP in 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2021 seasons, but still held a 65.7 percent completion rate, 6.7 yards per attempt and 207.6 yards per game.
