Noah Wyle is a devoted father and husband — and has even collaborated with one of his kids on-screen!

The Pitt star married his wife, Sara Wyle, in June 2014. Their daughter Frances was born one year later, joining siblings Owen and Auden, whom Noah welcomed with his ex-wife Tracy Warbin.

Though Noah is widely recognized for his starring role as Dr. John Carter on NBC’s ER, he told PEOPLE in March 2025 that his two eldest children have yet to watch the show.

“They’ve watched more Grey’s Anatomy than they have ER,” he said. “It’s a point of contention.”

“However, the older they get and the more they seem interested in this business, the more I kind of want to hold that up as something that they might want to engage in,” Noah continued.

But not to worry, The Pitt fans! They are watching the Max series, which aired its season finale on April 10, where their dad stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.

From his wedding details to how his children are following in his footsteps, here’s everything to know about Noah Wyle’s wife and three children.

In June 2024, the actor shared a photo from their wedding on Instagram to commemorate their 10-year anniversary, writing, “My love, thanks for the best 10 years of my life. And for being so slow that when you run that I can always catch you.”

All these years later, Noah feels just as lucky to be by her side.

“For years, when we eat out, I’ve told this woman I need to use the bathroom. Then- I excuse myself and just stand across the room and look at her for awhile- feeling so very happy and blessed to be with her,” Noah wrote on Instagram in January 2025.

Owen was born on Nov. 9, 2002, followed by Auden on Oct. 15, 2005. Noah and Sara welcomed Frances on June 22, 2015.

During an April 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Pitt star opened up about how his roles in multiple medical shows have impacted life at home.

When asked if he ever forgets that he isn’t a real doctor, Noah admitted that he sometimes misdiagnoses his children. “Oh it’s a compound fracture? Maybe cold water is not going to work,” he joked.

During his March 2025 conversation with PEOPLE, Noah reflected on his decades-long career, opening up about how becoming a parent changed how he selected which roles to accept.

“My tastes changed radically after my son was born,” the Falling Skies star said. “After I was a father, I suddenly was very conscious of the things that my kids would be watching their father do or say.”

He added, “It curbed some of my impulses to reach for characters that are way more on the friend. You know, I’d rather play good guys.”

Two of his kids are pursuing careers in the entertainment industry

Two of Noah’s three children might be following in their father’s footsteps.

The actor told PEOPLE that his son Owen, who is currently enrolled in college at Boston University, per his Instagram bio, is “taking all sorts of film classes with an eye towards ending up in this industry somewhere.”

“I tell him every day it’s a big tent. We’ve got truck drivers, lawyers, carpenters,” he said. “But he really likes the circus and so it’s gonna be hard to keep him out from under the big tent.”

Meanwhile, Noah shared that Auden has “already embarked on her acting career” — and said she is “well ahead” of where her father was at her age.

In fact, Auden played Noah’s on-screen daughter in Leverage: Redemption!

In October 2021, Auden shared an Instagram photo of her and Noah on set, writing, “I had the best time doing this episode with great people, and an especially great scene partner @therealnoahwyle 🤍.”

As for his youngest daughter Frances, Noah said that she is a “dynamo who can do anything she wants with her life,” while emphasizing that though he’d support any of his kids in their endeavors, “everybody’s journey is their own.”

In June 2020, Sara posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to Noah, calling him the “strength and love” that their family “thrives under.”

“There is no one I would rather stand beside on this wild journey,” she continued.

Those aren’t the only sweet words Sara has shared to her husband on Instagram: “No one makes me feel or laugh the way you do. I love doing life with you,” she wrote in June 2021.
