Gold-medal figure skater Alysa Liu was all smiles while gushing over her Olympic crush.
The 20-year-old Liu was among a slew of Olympians that revealed their crush while at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Games in a recent video with Self magazine.
“I think my Olympic crush is probably Suni Lee,” said Liu, who made history at the Winter Games by becoming the first American woman in 24 years to win the figure skating singles event.
“She’s so pretty and very stylized. You know what I’m saying? I like that, yeah.”
American figure skater Amber Glenn, who won gold in Milan in the team event, also named a fellow Olympic gymnast as her crush.
“I have many Olympic crushes. Laurie Hernandez,” Glenn said. “I love that she’s openly queer and that she is completely herself, a little bit of a nerd, just like me.”
Hernandez, a two-time gold Olympic medalist, came out in an Instagram post in December 2022.
Glenn publicly came out as pansexual in 2019.
In the video by Self magazine, U.S. speed skater Brittany Bowe named Team USA women’s hockey captain Hilary Knight as her Olympic crush.
“Oh my gosh, the one and only Hilary Knight. There’s no thinking outside the box on that one, Bowe, a four-time Olympian said.
Knight proposed to Bowe at the Winter Games the day before Knight helped the Americans secure gold over Canada in overtime at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
Bowe did not medal in the 1500m event in Milan.
The 37-year-old has won 91 World Cup medals, 22 national titles and six world titles in her career.
During a January interview with Cosmopolitan, Liu explained that she’s not dating and is loving being single.
“That’s a whole other thing that I’m not feeling right now. I have so much love in my life already, and I have so many amazing people, I just haven’t felt the need to look for more or look elsewhere,” Liu said of her personal life.
“I really love myself. And my standards are quite high, too. But also, my schedule, especially since starting to skate again, is pretty hectic. If I were to date someone, we’d each have to make tons of sacrifices. It’s just not worth it at this point to build something.
“I think when it comes, it will. I love being single, I really do. I do see myself being single for a long time. Especially right now, I choose friendships over relationships any day.”
