BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Jessica Haas, the first female speed painter in America, is back in Baton Rouge and bringing replicas of the artwork that she painted earlier this year.
She made the artwork during halftime shows at LSU basketball games.
The performances were well received fans, with energy and engagement from the crowd being described as unbelievable.
Haas travels around the country and performs at other colleges and sporting events. Her record for painting is 42 seconds and she won the televised talent competition on The Gong Show.

Haas is credited with being the first ever speed painter in the 2013 Miss Tennessee pageant. She was dubbed the “mother of the speed painting movement” by New York magazine.
