Former tennis superstar Anna Kournikova was seen in public for the first time in nearly three years using the help of a wheelchair.

Kournikova, 43, wore a walking boot on her right foot while perusing the Bal Harbor Shops in Miami, Florida on Saturday, January 25. She was joined by her daughters Lucy, 7, and Mary, 4, for the outing.

Lucy has a twin brother, Nicholas, who did not join the group for a day of shopping. Kournikova shares all three kids with her longtime partner, Enrique Iglesias, who she’s been dating since 2001.

It is unclear why Kournikova is using a wheelchair or why she’s currently wearing the boot.

Kournikova and Iglesias, 49, who met on the set of his “Escape” music video, have kept a very low profile in recent years. In fact, Kournikova hasn’t been pictured since a May 2022 Instagram post celebrating Iglesias’ birthday.

“Happy Birthday to the most amazing Dad!” Kournikova wrote alongside a photo of the couple and their three kids. “We super love you!!! ❤️”

Iglesias celebrated Mother’s Day in 2022 by sharing a video via Instagram of Kournikova rocking out to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” in the backyard of the couple’s home. “Happy Mother’s Day!” Iglesias wrote. “To all the Mothers around the world, You rock 🤟❤️.”

Kournikova last posted via Instagram in June 2024, sharing a carousel of photos showing Iglesias and each child individually.

“Happy Father’s Day to my man @enriqueiglesias 😍,” Kournikova wrote. “And to All the Dad’s!!! ❤️❤️❤️”

Although Kournikova and Iglesias have been together for more than two decades, the couple has never married. In 2008, Kournikova told People, “I’m never getting married. Everything is good.”

After his partner’s candid admission, Iglesias explained it wasn’t due to a lack of interest on his part. “I always try, but she pays me no attention,” Iglesias told People in 2008.

Iglesias made a rare comment about his relationship with Kournikova during a May 2024 interview with SiriusXM’s FYI Show. He was asked if Kournikova ever gets “jealous” about the singer’s notorious habit of kissing female fans at his concerts, to which he replied: “Not at all. Anna will be at one of my shows and I’ll do that. I do that all the time — I love embracing, kissing and hugging my fans. I like getting close up.”

Iglesias added, “I just love to get so much love from my fans and know that if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am.”
