Bears receiver DJ Moore might be missing Justin Fields a bit more than we thought.

Moore was seen during the Week 2 prime time “Sunday Night Football” game constantly looking miserable as No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams missed him on multiple targets.

After the game, Moore agreed that he shouldn’t have been so obviously upset with the team’s new franchise quarterback during the 19-13 loss.

Moore caught six passes for 53 yards on 10 targets to lead the Bears.

“I shouldn’t have shown as much,” Moore said, via ESPN. “But it’s a part of the game. Like I said, we were one play away from the game changing. And we just couldn’t connect, nobody on offense could connect with the one play or get the one play started to get us on track and go up. It’s football. Everybody is going to have their ups and downs and frustrations.”

Moore ripped his helmet off after Williams badly missed him on a back shoulder route where he had the cornerback badly beaten late in the fourth quarter with the Bears trailing, 19-10.

It was so obvious that NBC broadcaster Cris Collinsworth pointed out the missed pass and ensuing reaction.

“I know exactly what DJ Moore is thinking,” Collinsworth said after the third-and-4 misfire. “‘I squeeze that corner toward the middle of the field. I left you five yards on the boundary out there; there was a lot of room for that back shoulder.’”

The Bears would go on to kick a field goal after the incompletion, but could not score again after getting the ball back with 1:37 remaining.

Moore also looked dejected on the sideline, but he threw cold water on that theory.

The veteran actually leads the Bears in receptions (11), targets (18) and receiving yards (89) through two games, although the Bears’ passing attack has been quite feeble.

“I usually sit on the bench like that anyway, so I don’t know what that’s about,” Moore said.

Moore’s poor body language brings up another harsh quote that he had during the 2023 season when he expressed his displeasure about the Bears considering moving on from Justin Fields.

“What, there’s like two of them? [then-prospects Caleb Williams and Drake Maye] I don’t think they better than Justin [Fields],” Moore said

Fields is now standing out as quarterback for the 2-0 Steelers, while the Bears sit at 1-1.

Williams has the second-worst total quarterback rating in the NFL, ahead of only the benched Bryce Young, entering a Week 3 road game against the Colts.
