Guest host Angie Reza Tures, Filmmaker and documentary film instructor

The nation’s largest Film Critics group, the Critics Choice Association, has published its nominees for its upcoming Documentary Film Awards. Fortunately, most of the titles are available to view at home via streaming services. In this edition of On Film, guest host Angie Reza Tures welcomes our main host for this show, Charles Horak, to discuss this year’s nominees for best documentary films. Charles is also a voting member of the Critics Choice Association (CCA), and he has some recommendations to stream at home.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) is a group of broadcast, radio and online critics as well as entertainment journalists who review films and documentaries as well as scripted and unscripted television. Founded 28 years ago by Joey Berlin, Rod Lurie and 42 founding members, the CCA is now the largest critics organization in the U.S. and Canada with more than 580 members.
