Taylor Sheridan‘s hit series Landman is once again putting Billy Bob Thornton‘s Tommy in outrageous situations, with him asking a stripper if she would give onscreen dad Sam Elliott a handjob.
During the Sunday, January 4, episode of the Paramount+ show, Tommy found his dad, T.L. (Elliott), in the pool after his health issues prevented him from being able to walk. He spoke to Tommy about mortality, which inspired his son to seek help in an unexpected place.
Tommy visited a gentlemen’s club — the same one his ex-wife, Angela (Ali Larter), and daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) went on a field trip with members of the retirement home. He asked one of the exotic dancers if she would consider a job proposition.
“It’s not like that [and] it’s not even for me. It’s for my dad. He’s 82 years old and he’s eaten up with arthritis and all kinds of injuries. He can barely get from one end of the couch to the other,” he explained. “Now, I figure with your line of work, you probably have to stay pretty limber, right? So you do stretches and do yoga. Essentially, you’re your own physical therapist.”
Tommy asked for the unnamed woman’s help. (IMDB has Francesca Xuereb listed as Cheyenne for the three-episode role.)
“Could you help my dad? Just show him some of your stretches to get him stronger. It would be no sex, you don’t have to wear high heels and a G-string or any of that,” he noted. “My dad is as stubborn as a jack mule — but he can’t say no to a pretty woman. It’s an hour a day, twice a week to help an old man.”
After the dancer agreed because of how “sad” T.L. looked, Tommy pushed his luck.
“[This is] a little odd but it’s innocent. You can do it with your clothes on [or] you can do it naked. I don’t give a s***,” he continued. “Now, if you want to give him the occasional handjob or something like that … I was just tossing it out there. It’s not a requirement — just forget I said anything.”
Cheyenne visited T.L. later that afternoon and suggested aqua physical therapy. They stripped down to their underwear — T.L. remained in his jeans — and Cheyenne cradled him in her arms as he floated in the pool. He asked Cheyenne whether she had a boyfriend, which she confirmed she didn’t. They then expressed interest in continuing the physical therapy sessions going forward.
In the house, Tommy and the other residents discussed Cheyenne. Angela specifically asked Tommy if T.L’s “hooker is staying for supper.” Tommy clarified that Cheyenne is “a physical therapist” in several ways.
Speaking of Angela, earlier in the episode she called Tommy in a bikini to ask him for some money.
“Can I take $10,000 from the safe? I want to take my old folks to the casino and we need some money for gambling,” she asked while showing off how little she was wearing. “Nickels don’t change lives, baby. I’m in a life-changing mood and I’m feeling lucky. How about you, Tommy? Are you feeling lucky?”
Tommy ultimately agreed to Angela’s request, saying, “I’m going to rationalize it like this. If I was in Amsterdam and you were one of them hookers in a little glass case and it cost $10,000 to f*** you, I would pay. $10,000 buys me Saturday night sex so you better lock them f***ing extensions down.”
Angela was able to give Tommy back his money — and then some. She surprised Tommy with a “return” on his investment after winning $317,622 at the casino.
“[I made] $100,000 on the roulette wheel but the craps table is where it really started going my way,” she told Tommy, who replied, “Good job, baby. I can think of some plans [for us] with that money.”
