The 24th-annual Dakota Community Bank & Trust PBR Bull Riding Challenge is set to fill the Bismarck Event Center with premier bull riders and top-ranked PBR Bulls from around the world.

The Event Center is hosting two separate bull riding shows this weekend on Friday and Saturday evening. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the event begins at 7:30 p.m. both nights. The show will feature livestock provided by Chad Berger Bucking Bulls.

This family oriented spectacle will showcase professional bull riders from across the globe. As a segment of the PBR Challenger Series tour, the event has attracted riders with world finals experience, including the likes of Mason Taylor, who is making his fifth trip to Bismarck for the PBR Challenge.

“It has a lot of great riders,” Berger said. “The ones you get to watch on TV every weekend, you get to see in-person.”

The competition will highlight nearly a dozen Brazilian riders alongside participants from Australia, the United States, Canada and Mexico. These riders will compete against each other for a $20,000 prize.

The event will also feature world finals champion bulls, including top-ranked PBR bulls such as Night Hawk, Pookie Holler, Sneaky Situation and many others.

“We’re stacked up on bull power,” Berger said. “There are going to be a lot of great rides and a lot of great wrecks.”

This year’s event will include a military night theme, with Navy SEALs interacting and meeting with fans. Additionally, the show will include the same announcers and bullfighters as seen on television.

“It’s very professionally run,” Berger said. “One thing I like about the Event Center [is that] there isn’t a bad seat in the house. It’s set up perfectly for bull riding. I don’t care where you’re sitting; you’re going to see it up close.”
