The 32-player field is set for Unrivaled’s second annual 1-on-1 tournament and the potential to win $200,000 is on the line.
Breanna Stewart, Kelsey Mitchell, Paige Bueckers and Allisha Gray earned the No. 1 seeds for the three-night event that begins Wednesday.
The seeding was determined by player, coach, fan and media votes.
Stewart, a co-founder of Unrivaled, was pitted against eighth-seeded center Li Yeuru in the opening round.
Bueckers is slated to face Kate Martin, Mitchell has Rachel Banham and Gray is set to take on Saniya Rivers.
No. 7 Natasha Cloud will enter her match against No. 2 Chelsea Gray as an underdog.
One thing is for certain: There will be a new player crowned champion this year.
Napheesa Collier won the inaugural 1-on-1 tournament, but is sidelined for Unrivaled after undergoing surgery on both of her ankles.
The champion will earn a $200,000 prize, with the runner-up receiving a $50,000 check.
The two other semifinalists won’t walk away empty handed either, as they will get $25,000 each.
The action is scheduled to start Wednesday at 7 p.m. on truTV.
The second round and quarterfinals are set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. on TNT, and the semifinals are slated to start Saturday at 6 p.m. on TNT, with a champion planned to be named that night.
