Brian Burns had a first-quarter sack of Lamar Jackson for a loss of 10-yards, which is not easy to do and surely felt good for Burns.

What happened in the second quarter to Burns did not feel nearly as good.

Jackson did what he does, which is reverse the field with a scramble, with Burns in pursuit.

As the Giants’ outside linebacker looked one way, offensive lineman Daniel Faalele lined up Burns and put a blindside hit on him.

Burns had to come off the field — Faalele is 6-foot-8 and 380 pounds — but was able to return to the game to finish up Sunday’s 35-14 loss to the Ravens at MetLife Stadium.

Jackson scrambled for 21 yards on the play and Burns came away hurting.

“He lined me up,” Burns said. “I focused on Lamar as he was trying to get outside and he kind of just blindsided me. It’s football. I feel if he wanted to, he probably could have hit me harder because I wasn’t looking. Still felt it.”

Burns also had his ankle rolled up “pretty bad” on another play.

“But nothing crazy,” he said.

Rookie WR Malik Nabers leaped with CB Desmond King in the end zone to haul in a 23-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter.

It was Nabers’ fourth touchdown catch of the season and his first since Week 3, when he had two touchdown receptions in a victory in Cleveland.

“It was a good day to get back in the box,” Nabers said.

The nine consecutive losses match a franchise record.

The 1976 and 2019 teams lost nine straight and there was a nine-game losing streak bridging the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

WR Wan’Dale Robinson was checked out for a possible concussion in the fourth quarter and was cleared to return to the game.

“They had spotted me but I was like, ‘I’m fine,’ ” Robinson said, “I didn’t know why they called down but I went in and passed all the tests with no problem.’’

Ravens TE Mark Andrews became the Ravens’ all-time leader in touchdowns when he hauled in a 13-yard scoring reception in the first quarter.

It was Andrews’ 48th career touchdown for the Ravens, moving him one ahead of RB Jamal Lewis.

Deonte Banks missed his third straight game with an injury to his ribs.

That meant the Giants were without their three top cornerbacks, as Dru Phillips and Cor’Dale Flott, both starters, are injured and were inactive for the game.

The defense was without two other starters, ILB Bobby Okereke and DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches.

The Ravens (9-5) came off their bye and had no trouble routing the Giants.

“You could tell that they wanted to get back to it,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. “They took the Giants seriously. The Giants are a serious football team, and it’s a really good win for us.”
