Canaan Araujo joined KRCG 13 in January 2025.
She graduated in May 2024 with honors from Biola University with a dual degree in broadcast journalism and political science.
Her love for performing came at an early age through singing and acting, then through competing and winning three titles in the Miss America and Miss United States pageants.
Performing became storytelling when Canaan interned at WOAI-TV and Fox SA in San Antonio, Texas, in college.
During her time at Biola, Canaan anchored and reported on Biola’s two student news stations.
A Texas native, she is excited to join the Missouri community for the first time and thanks them for the opportunity to share their stories.
When she’s not covering the news, you can find her shopping, working out, tanning at the nearest beach, and reading or watching anything that is historical fiction.
