The Cubs recalled Owen Caissie, sending Kevin Alcantara down to Iowa. One has to assume that this move has aught to do with the continued IL stay for Kyle Tucker, and one hopes that Caissie, who has considerable talent, was in the lineup for Saturday’s game, batting eighth. Moises Ballesteros started in the six-spot. Good balance.

Colin Rea started, against Drew Rasmussen. Details in the preview. Moises Ballesteros continued his campaign to make the post-season roster (1) [VIDEO]. He hit the thing to Rizzo.

Rea pitched a Rea game, lots of weak contact, and the Cubs took the lead on a Dansby Swanson double [VIDEO], but the Rays pulled even again. Michael Busch went deep (27) [VIDEO], but then [VIDEO].
And that was the ball game, though the Cubs threatened in the ninth. Meatloaf is good on a Sunday. Let’s hope Caissie’s concussion symptoms lessen.
