Chris Russo would not have welcomed Bill Belichick with open arms if the 72-year-old former NFL coach appeared at his doorstep to take out his early-20s daughter.
“Here’s what I would say. If Bill Belichick came to my house and wanted to date Kiera Russo, who’s 23, I’d have a problem with it,” Russo said Thursday. “‘Coach, come on in. Have a good time, you two.’”
As Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old former beauty pagaent contestsant Jordon Hudson has become a hot topic, Russo, known as the “Mad Dog”, made it clear that he has some reservations about the legendary coach dating a woman one-third of his age.
“The 24-year-old girlfriend’s a little much for Belichick, let’s be honest, a little much,” Russo said on his “Mad Dog Unleashed” show. “He’s 50 years older.”
The usually reserved Belichick has set social media abuzz after the world learned of his relationship with Hudson, a former cheerleader.
While Belichick may have been “on to Cincinnati” while leading the Patriots to six titles, the world is not moving on from this one.
Belichick and Hudson met in 2021 while on a flight while the former Patriots coach was still with longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday, whom he split with in 2023.
The usually ornery coach smiled in a photo from said flight and apparently planted the seeds for a future courtship by signing a copy of “Deductive Logic,” as captured by TMZ.
“Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!” he wrote above his signature, while also including a list of the six Super Bowl titles he won in New England.
The Daily Mail reported that the infamous video of Belichick leaving a Massachusetts house shirtless from last November actually occurred at Hudson’s residence.
The two stepped out Wednesday night for a dinner date in Nantucket, as captured by the Daily Mail, after spending the afternoon on his boat, VII rings.
While Russo was more measured in his thoughts on the pairing, one of Hudson’s former beauty pageant contestants was not so kind.
“I didn’t even know she had a boyfriend — I heard from people she’s kind of all over the place with dating,” a former Miss Mass. Teen USA 2020 contest told The Post. “I’m so curious how this happened. He’s old enough to be her grandfather!
“She’s not shy — wanting the limelight is one thing but dating someone in his 70s is another. I didn’t realize she’d go as far to do that for fame.”
Russo did acknowledge that having Belichick date his mid-20s daughter would have some benefits for his career after a staffer noted the potential upside.
“I would get him on (the show), that’s fair,” Russo conceded.
