During the 2024 presidential election, CJ Pearson, a 22-year-old political strategist, activist, and content creator, mobilized young conservatives to the polls. As the national co-chair of the Republican National Committee Youth Advisory Council, he targeted Gen Z voters who felt ignored by the Democratic Party by bridging the gap between the conservative political establishment and the influencer community. It was a savvy move that helped Donald Trump return to the White House.
Pearson may be young, but he’s worked in political media for most of his life: at the age of 8, he began blogging in support of local conservative politicians in his hometown of Augusta, Ga. Five years later, in 2015, he uploaded his first YouTube video, a defense of Rudy Giuliani’s comments against then-President Barack Obama’s response to terrorism, which quickly went viral. Over the last decade, Pearson has become an influential voice for the next generation of Republicans—including young Black Republicans, like himself—often racking up millions of views on TikTok and guest spots on Fox News and Newsmax, the conservative news network. Earlier this year, he signed with UTA, the entertainment talent agency that represents the likes of Bad Bunny, Malala Yousafzai, and Adam Scott.
