For Coca-Cola – the most popular soft drink in the country according to data aggregator Statista — what’s old will soon be new again.

The returning drink should be welcome news for the nearly 70% of all New Jerseyans who drink soda.

Coca-Cola will soon bring back a popular flavor discontinued four years ago.

Here’s what Coca-Cola’s returning flavor tastes like, and when you will be able to get a can.

What does Coca-Cola’s new flavor taste like?

Food industry watcher Allrecipes confirmed Coca-Cola is bringing back Diet Coke Lime.

“The refreshing blast from the past combines that signature Diet Coke flavor with just the right amount of zing from zesty lime. And if you’re a dirty soda fan, this means you’re just one step away from the viral recipe,” read a portion of Allrecipes’ review. “Just like Retro Diet Cherry Coke, the new throwback lime soda features a fun ’80s label and graphic design treatment, complete with that signature neon lime green font.”

When you can buy Diet Coke Lime

According to noted foodie Markie Devo, Coca-Cola will release the Diet Coke Lime soda on Monday, Oct. 6.

Devo confirmed the release through an Instagram post:

“Coke brings back Diet Coke Lime nationwide,” read Devo’s Instagram post. “Available in 20 oz. bottle and can, also hearing a two-liter may be available as well soon.

“Heading to major stores nationwide that carry the Coke brand starting October 6th.”
