While some awards shows have been postponed in Los Angeles (namely the Critics Choice Awards) amid the devastating wildfires, things appear to be moving forward across the pond. London is gearing up for the 2025 EE British Academy of Film and Television Awards (better known as the BAFTAs) on February 16 at Royal Festival Hall. Stars from all around the globe will come to celebrate the United Kingdom’s best national and foreign films of 2024; the winners of the night often offer a preview of who will take home top prizes at the Oscars.

Nominations for the prestigious, highly-anticipated ceremony rolled in today. Unlike what we’ve seen thus far this awards circuit, Conclave is leading the pack with a whopping 12 nods. Following close behind, with 11 nominations, is Emilia Pérez, which also racked up quite the collection of nods at the Golden Globes and SAG Awards.

Regardless of who takes home a golden mask, one thing is guaranteed: your favorite A-listers will be dressed to the nines, and some of them are bound to give some cheeky and sentimental remarks while taking the stage. To make the night even more special, the ceremony might even have some royal guests in attendance—yup, as in, Prince William and Princess Kate, who have “close ties” to the show.
