Southern Charm’s Craig Conover is sharing where he stands with Kristin Cavallari after she spilled the beans about their past romance.

Conover, 37, was asked the last time he texted Cavallari, 38, during a Wednesday, December 17, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

“Recently,” Conover answered. “We became friends again.”

Host Andy Cohen then pressed the Sewing Down Souther owner if he and Cavallari were friends “with benefits.”

“No, no, no, no,” Conover responded. “She’s created a ton of businesses, three cookbooks, and I kind of look up to her in that sense.”

He added, “I think we’re going to collab on something next year.”

Back in June, Cavallari opened up about her brief romance with Conover before he got serious with former girlfriend Paige DeSorbo.

“OK, let’s talk about it,” Cavallari said during a June appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “So, Craig and I were friends first, [then] became romantic for two seconds. The second I caught wind of [his relationship with] Paige, I very politely excused myself from the situation.”

Cohen asked the Hills alum whether there was “overlap in your relationships,” to which Cavallari responded, “There was a picture of Craig and Paige in New York — I’ll never forget it — and it looked like they were sort of together. That was the first time anyone had seen them. That was the first time I had heard about it. I saw that picture, and I texted him and I said, ‘Hey, let’s just be friends.’”

Conover and Cavallari reunited on stage in Boston back in March, when he and Austen Kroll appeared as guests during Cavallari’s podcast tour. The appearance was documented on a June episode of E!’s Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour.

“I mean, there’s so many headlines with Craig, Austen and I,” she said.

“In 2021, Justin and I went down to Charleston and met the boys and we just, honestly, clicked immediately,” Cavallari said in a confessional. “Then, Craig and I started hanging out. Only a few times, but it became this whole media frenzy.”

Later, Cavallari said, “Everyone thought we were in a f***ing love triangle. I was like, how am I involved in a love triangle again as an adult?”

Kroll confirmed that “nothing happened between Kristin and I.”

“We went out on King’s Street together one time. … It was the first time, by the way, that I realized my level of ‘fame’ was [low] and Kristin’s was [high],” Kroll added.

Conover and Cavallari said that they started hanging out, but Kroll “was taking the heat for it.”

Cavallari said she and Conover did “more than kissing,” adding, “How many times did I hook up with Craig? I think it was, honestly, once or twice. It wasn’t that much.”

As for overlap with his relationship with DeSorbo, Conover told Cavallari, “I never lied to you about anything. Eventually, it just got to the point, Paige and I decided to date, and we stopped talking.”

Conover and DeSorbo split in December 2024 after three years of dating.
